Meanwhile, a video of Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President meeting a child in a hospital has gone viral on social media. Some users are claiming that the video shows Chirag Paswan meeting the victim in the Sri Ganganagar case.
Sharing the viral video, a user named Neeraj Sharma wrote, “Union Minister Chirag Paswan met the innocent child following the shameful incident in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan. Out of 32 accused, 14 have been arrested so far, and three hotels have been demolished. Rajasthan Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are requested to ensure the harshest possible action against the accused. That would be true justice for the child.”(English Translation)

Jitendra Verma, another user shared a screenshot of the viral video and wrote, “Chirag Paswan reached to meet the 13-year-old innocent girl who fell victim to the brutality. The girl said that those people did very wrong things to me and they also beat up my father severely. Consoling the girl, Chirag Paswan said, ‘Whoever did wrong to you will be punished. Don’t cry, child. Right now, focus on your recovery, and I will handle the rest.'”The post further claimed: “The ‘dark truth’ of Sri Ganganagar, which shook the soul of the entire nation! A 13-year-old girl who left her home on June 18 was allegedly lured away by a rickshaw puller (Rambabu) and sold to hotels. What happened to the innocent child over the next five days was worse than hell.”Key points related to the case: Shocking brutality: It is alleged that within just 5 days, more than 30 predators committed atrocities against the girl. Inhumane act: When the girl writhed in pain, she was forced to drink alcohol to quieten her down. Strict action by the administration: Following massive public outrage and protests, the administration has run bulldozers over the 3 hotels (Khunger, Joy Inn, and Sapphire) where this heinous crime took place. Action taken so far: The police have arrested 14 accused in this case so far.’

Chirag Paswan’s viral video is not from Sri Ganganagar, but from Darbhanga in Bihar, where Chirag Paswan met a young girl injured in a physical altercation. To investigate, our team first converted the viral video into keyframes and then performed a reverse image search on the individual frames. We found this video posted on Navbharat Times’ Facebook page on 17 February 2026.
The caption accompanying this video provided the information: ‘Bihar: When Chirag Paswan arrived at the hospital in Darbhanga to meet an injured girl, she burst into tears upon meeting him. Crying, the girl shared that her father was forcibly beaten and their house was demolished. She stated that all the belongings and food items kept in the house were also looted. Hearing the girl’s words, the people present there became emotional. The video related to this incident is going viral rapidly on social media.’ (English Translation)
Meanwhile, our team searched for a few more keywords regarding Chirag Paswan’s meeting with the injured girl in Darbhanga. We found several other media reports, including from Dainik Bhaskar and News India-24, which stated that Chirag Paswan met the injured girl and her family members, who were hurt in a clash caused by a labor dispute in Harinagar, Kusheshwar Asthan, Darbhanga. The Dainik Bhaskar report mentioned that a dispute over money transactions in Harinagar village under Kusheshwar Asthan police station area of Darbhanga turned into caste tension. In this case, people from the Brahmin community were accused of assaulting people from the Paswan community. Following the incident, Chirag Paswan met the injured at DMCH and stated that the culprits would not be spared, adding that a handful of people want to promote a sense of caste division.

Additionally, the News India-24 report states that ‘when Chirag Paswan reached the hospital in Darbhanga to meet the victim girl, she expressed her pain with deep anguish. She said, “They also beat up my father by force, destroyed the entire house, and looted everything, sir. They looted all the food and drink; we had a lot in our house.” The girl’s words reflect the severity of the destruction and looting inflicted upon the family. Chirag Paswan met with the girl and her family to understand the situation and attempt to provide relief. This incident highlights the severity of what occurred in Darbhanga and brings to light the urgent need to help the victims.
