A video showing a man being arrested by the cops is making rounds on social media platform X(formerly Twitter) . The video has been shared by some pak-based handles on X(formerly Twitter) with the claim that an Indian immigrant in Greece has been arrested for assaulting a 9-year-old Christian girl.
An account with the name Psywar Bureau posted this video and wrote: “An #Indian immigrant in #Greece has been arrested for assaulting a 9-year-old Christian girl”
The account is better known for sharing misinformation against India.

In the probe, the DFRAC team found the incident was from 2023. It is related to the case of a Bangladeshi national being arrested for murdering a 27-year-old Polish woman, not assaulting for 9-year-old girl.
We found some reports from the Greek City Times, Dhaka Tribune & Knews published in Jun 2023.
As per reports, a Bangladeshi man has been arrested for allegedly raping and killing a Polish woman on the Greek island of Kos. The 27-year-old woman’s body was found deceased in a secluded area on Kos Island earlier this month. Her body showed signs of violence, prompting an extensive investigation by local law enforcement authorities.
Notably, “Indian immigrant” was not mentioned in the media reports.

It is evident from DFRAC’s Fact-check that the viral video has been misleadingly shared on X. Originally, the video was from 2023 and associated with the case of a Bangladeshi man being apprehended on the charges of murdering a 27-year-old Polish woman.
