A collage of three pictures is getting viral on social media sites. In these pictures, it can be seen that a cache of swords and daggers has been recovered, which is being seized by the police. By sharing these pictures, India is being described as the largest terrorist country in the world. The users who shared this picture are from Bangladesh and have tweeted in the Bengali language.

Sharing the collage, a Bangladeshi user Sanjeeda Akhtar (@shanzidakhter) captioned in Bengali:” ভারত বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বড় জঙ্গি রাষ্ট্র সবাইকে দেখিয়ে দিন”

With the help of Google Translation,  – “Show everyone that India is the biggest terrorist country in the world.” ( English Translation)

Fact Check:

To analyze the originality of the viral picture the DFRAC team did separate reverse searches of the pictures. The team found a picture published on www.gujaratheadline.com’s website on March 5, 2016. According to this report, police have recovered a cache of sharp weapons near a hotel in Rajkot in Gujarat. Police have arrested five people, including the hotel manager Arif, Irfan Dilawar, Idrish Dilawar, Safibeg, and Munna Vohra.

At the same time, when we searched for something else for further analysis,  the team found a report from Timesofindia.com. In this report, it has also been said that sharp weapons have been recovered from Rajkot.

The third photo of the viral collage is from a kirpan factory in Punjab’s Patiala city. Which has been shared with the wrong reference.

Meanwhile, on searching for something else in this context, we came to know that this picture has also gone viral in India with the wrong references. Social media users had shared these pictures and falsely accused Indian Muslims of mobilizing weapons to prepare for civil war.

Conclusion:

It is clear from the verification of DFRAC  that the claim made by social media users of Bangladesh is false. Because the pictures that he is sharing are accusing India of being a terrorist country, those pictures are of police action and a kirpan factory in Punjab.
