Mahaveer Jain has shared this video on May 2, 2025.

Here is another user who has shared this same video on a different social media platform. A user named hindutv2.0 has shared the video with text saying, या घटनेचा जाहीर निषेध आता सर्व हिंदू लोकांनी पुण्यातून बाहेर जायचं का?, in English this means, Is it now necessary for all Hindus to leave Pune due to this incident?

The video shows fight between two groups, one individual can be heard saying haath mat laga (don’t touch). At the end, a stone projectile is thrown at the person who was recording the video. Due to this phone fell down, a woman is seen picking up the phone (it seems a woman was recording the video).

Fact Check

To investigate the claim made about the viral video, the DFRAC conducted a reverse image search of a keyframe from the video. This led our team to various other such posts. To gather more information about this brutal confrontation, our team did a keyword search: Bhavani Peth Gurunanak Nagar, Pune Road rage.

This led us to news reports. According to My Pune Pulse, a brother-sister duo was brutally assaulted over a horn dispute in Bhavani Peth. This incident happened in the Guru Nanak Nagar area of Bhavani Peth. A gang of miscreants attacked a brother-sister duo after arguing over honking in the area. The gang hit the young man’s head with a stone. Three people were injured in the incident. Khadak Police have registered a case of attempted murder against the gang.

The man’s sister and grandfather confronted the gang asking why they are beating him; they started abusing and beating them. They threw stones at them.

Another news report, on Free Press Journal, stated about the incident in Bhawani Peth. Shoaib Umar Saiyyad along with five other residents have been identified as accused.

According to police, the victim, Harsh Keshwani, and the accused, Shoaib, are residents of the same colony. The dispute happened over bike honking and road encroachment due to parked vehicles. After the bike horn, Shoaib started beating the victim, resulting in serious injuries to his nose.

Here is a link to another news report that states the same information about the incident.

Conclusion

Hence, it is clear from the fact check that the claim made in the viral video is misleading. The claim of the victim getting beaten because of posting anti-Pakistan content online is false. The real reason was road rage due to honking and encroachment on the road by cars. The honking led to the accused and his accomplices beating and throwing at the victim and his family members, viz. his sister and grandfather.

There is no religious or Pakistan angle to the story.
