Fact Check

To investigate the viral claim, the DFRAC conducted a keyword search with relevant keywords. No recent news report of any sort appeared in the search results.

Following this, our team conducted a search for any information on Indian Army’s press release and Press Information Bureau (PIB) press release. No relevant information was there on either website.

Subsequently, while searching about an attack by Indian Army in Sialkot in April 2025. Our team got to know about the recent developments in Pakistan. A news report by India Today published on April 29, 2025, states Pakistan moved its radar systems to forward location in the Sialkot sector to detect possible Indian airstrikes. In addition, to Sialkot, Pakistani army has deployed electronic warfare detachments to detect Indian armed forces movements opposite the Ferozepur sector.

A report by India Today published on April 29, 2025 stating about Pakistani army moving its electronic warfare detachments and radar systems in the Sialkot sector near the border area. This is done to keep on eye on Indian Army movements from across the border.

Pakistan has setup a TPS-77 radar site at Chor Cantonment, just 58km from the international border.

Along with this, Pakistan violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control. The Pakistani army started firing without any provocation in the Kupwara, Baramulla, and Akhnoor sectors, with the Indian army retaliating against the Pakistani firing.

Conclusion

Hence, it is clear by the fact check by DFRAC that the claim made by social media user on Indian Army personnel getting killed in Pakistan’s Sialkot is fake. There is no press release neither by Indian Army nor PIB on such military action or such loss of life endured by Indian armed forces. Also, there is no latest news report by any reputed news agency or organization.

However, Pakistan has setup a radar system to detect possible airstrike by Indian Air Force in Sialkot.
