Multiple other users were also found who shared a similar claim which can be viewed here.
Fact Check
Upon investigation, we found the claim to be misleading. A media report from Desh Rupantor, a Bangladeshi news outlet, published on March 31, 2025, sheds light on the actual incident.
Titled “4 injured in axe attack over land dispute in Kaliganj,” the report states that on March 30, a violent altercation broke out in Kaliganj due to a long-standing land dispute. Ramcharan and his son Jhantu Das attacked their relatives Narayan, Giribala, and Haradhan Chandra Das with axes.
The conflict began when Narayan went to cut kachuripana (water hyacinth) from a pond near his home to feed his cows. This led to a verbal altercation with Ramcharan and his son, which escalated when Ramcharan’s son attempted to beat Narayan with a stick. Ramcharan then attacked Narayan with an axe. When Narayan’s wife, Giribala, and his brother intervened, they were also assaulted.
Locals rushed the injured to Kaliganj Sadar Hospital, but due to their critical condition, doctors referred them to Dhaka for advanced treatment. Ramcharan and his son also received medical treatment at Kaliganj Hospital.
Regarding the incident, Kaliganj Police Station OC Alauddin confirmed to Desh Rupantor that the injured individuals had reported the case to the police.

Conclusion
The fact check confirms that the viral claim is misleading. The incident stemmed from a family dispute over land ownership, not communal tensions. Both parties involved belong to the same community, making it clear that the claim has been shared with a false communal narrative.
