Fact-Check
To determine the reality of the shared video, the DFRAC team converted it into some keyframes and reverse-searched it on Google. Meanwhile, we traced the same video on different YouTube channels and discovered that it was an old recording.
We found another X user, “Live Storm Chasers” who uploaded the same video on their account claiming it to be a Monster apocalyptic shelf cloud structure passing through Anna, IL on August 7, 2018.

Furthermore, a YouTube channel named “Cataclysm” posted the same clip on 11th August 2018 which confirmed that it is not a recent video.

Hence, it is evident that the video shared by “Concerned Citizen” cannot be claimed as recent and is false.
Conclusion
Therefore, it is confirmed by DFRAC that the viral video, purportedly showing a recent thunderstorm in Illinois, US, is misleading.
