Fact Check
Using InVID tool on different frames of the video, we found that actually this is an old video. The incident is of Madhya Pradesh. The Times of India have covered this report on 5 February, 2020. In the report they have shared the same video with the title, “One killed, six injured over child-lifting rumour in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar. “
Similarly, many other media houses including AajTak have covered this incident. The victims were visiting Borlai village to ask some laborer’s. The person who was killed in this was identified as Ganesh. And, the incident was nowhere related to any communal issue. It matter was of money dispute. Moreover, Police had investigated against the people accused.
Conclusion
Hence, our fact check proves that no communal angle was involved in the incident. Therefore, the claims of the social media users are fake as well as reprehensible.
