A screenshot of the article of NDTV is getting viral on the internet. The article claims that Ex-PM of Sri Lanka M Rajapaksa funds the Hindu reporters to create fake news about LTTE resurgence. Further, sharing the article @Lankan2020 wrote, “NDTV can’t be wrong #SriLankaProtests #GoHomeRajapakshas.”
Similarly, many other social media users also shared this post.
For our fact check analysis we did keyword research but we didn’t found any such news published by NDTV.
Further, on google reverse image search we found another article of the NDTV. The article had the same image but with the heading Sri Lanka Court Bans Ex-PM Mahinda Rajapaksa, Allies From Leaving Country.
Hence, the article was doctored.
Also, we have found the tweets from verified accounts of @CassilingamG and @Suparna_Singh(works at NDTV).

NDTV have not posted the news that Mahendraraja Paksa funds the Hindu reporters to create fake news about LTTE resurgence. Therefore, the claims of the users are false.
