A Video of a man being beaten up is going viral is going viral on the internet. Further, many social media users are sharing the video giving communal colours to it. In the same vein, CJ Werleman, who calls himself as an activist against Islamophobia, shared this video on his official Twitter account. Along with the video he wrote, “Muslim man assaulted by mob of Hindu extremists in Delhi, yesterday.” He later, deleted the post but the archived version of the post can be seen here.
Similarly, Congress leader Alka Lamba also shared this video with the caption which can be nearly translated into English, “The way Delhi used to filled with blood shed on the streets of our Delhi …. 🙁 #ThankYouModiG #ThankYouKejriwalG”

In our investigation, our team got to know that, the man in the video was Irfan Khan. 37 yr. old Irfan was accused of stalking & misbehaving with a 13-years-old girl.
Moreover, we also found a tweet of ANI regarding the same matter. ANI tweeted the whole matter, “Delhi Police arrested a 37-year-old man namely Irfan Khan for allegedly stalking & misbehaving with a 13-years-old girl. Later, CJ Werleman also stated a clarification. He wrote, “I deleted this tweet because turns out there was more to this story – the individual was credibly accused of sexual assault. This doesn’t justify vigilante violence, but it also doesn’t make him a sympathetic character.”

Social media users posted the video with misleading claims. Moreover, so called activist like CJ Werleman has given the incident communal colors which his absolutely baseless.
