Fact Check: Did supporters of former MLA Sunita Singh enter the mosque and beat up the worshippers in Ghazipur?

A video is getting viral on the internet. Users are sharing the video with a claim that Former MLA  Sunita Singh entered the mosque with hundreds of supporters to beat up the worshippers.

Further, along with the video @UzmaParveenLKO wrote the caption, “The work of disturbing the peace of the country, in Ghazipur Gahmar, former MLA Sunita Singh entered the mosque along with hundreds of supporters and beat up the worshippers, the government should take this into cognizance, take strict action against Sunita Singh.”

On our fact check analysis we found a tweet from the official account of the Gazipur Police.

In the tweet, they have clarified,” There is no such incident, nor has any complaint been given by the local people at the Gahmar police station. Additionally, the Superintendent of Police Rural was directed to investigate the video. If anyone is found guilty after investigation, then strict action will be taken against him.”

Further, we also found the same posts on the Instagram account of Rana Ayyub with the same video and the claim that the video is of Karauli Rajasthan.

Hence, some users are sharing the video with a misleading claim.
