Pakistani propaganda accounts posted a video featuring Sanjay Dutt, where he allegedly opposed the suffering of Muslims in India, rejected the “saffronization” of government institutions, and stated that “the army belongs to the country, not to any one colour.”
The caption of the post stated:
“Sanjay Dutt Takes Aim at Modi’s India Sanjay Dutt says, “Muslim logon ko India mein woh dukh nahi sehne dunga jo meri maa ne Muslim hone ke naate saha tha,” while rejecting “saffronization” in government institutions and stressing that “fauj desh ki hoti hai, kisi ek rang ki nahi.” On Kashmir, he says, “Kashmir ka faisla Kashmir ke log karenge.”
Fact:
The DFRAC team found that the video had been digitally manipulated. A search of credible news reports revealed no evidence that Sanjay Dutt made these remarks.
Recently, Dutt appeared on Shekhar Suman’s talk show, Shekhar Tonite, during a special episode commemorating Gandhi Jayanti. On the programme, he humorously portrayed the Prime Minister of India in his signature Munna Bhai style. Clips from the episode subsequently went viral on social media and attracted a range of political reactions.
However, in the original broadcast, Dutt made no statements about Kashmir, Muslims in India, the “saffronisation” of government institutions, or the Indian Army.
We also found that the account that posted this video claims to be based in India, but its actual location is in South Asia.

For further investigation, we uploaded the viral video to AI detection tools like Hive Moderation, Detect Video AI, and Resemble AI. The reports from the tools suggested a strong presence of AI-generated content, with Hive Moderation presenting 96.2%, Detect Video AI with 89%, and Resemble AI with 98.71%.

Additionally, we contacted Kumar Aniket, an AI expert, that the video contains several indicators suggesting that it is AI-generated. According to him, speech inaccuracies and facial expressions indicate that the viral video was a product of manipulation using AI.
Conclusion:
Hence, the viral video is digitally manipulated and falsely attributes political and Kashmir-related statements to Sanjay Dutt.
