A video of a 9th-grade student being interviewed is being shared on social media with the claim that it shows a protest by the “Cockroach Janata Party” at Jantar Mantar. In this video, the student can be heard speaking about the Israel-America-Iran war. The video shows the reporter first asking the girl about her class, to which she replies that she is in the 9th grade. Following this, the reporter asks, “What have you come here for?” to which the student replies, “A fight is going on between Israel and America.” The student further explains that people from her institute brought them to the protest.
Sharing a screenshot from the video, a user named Manish Mishra wrote: “Reporter – Which class are you in? Student – Class 9. Reporter – What have you come here for? Student – Because a fight is going on between Israel and America. Reporter – Who brought you here? Student – I have come from the institute. Look, this is the level of the protest now; they have called such a young girl to participate. This is the level of the Cockroach Janata Party people; they have paid money to bring children from the institutes. And people are saying this is a big movement and praising it. Do you call this a movement? Their mindset is utterly wretched.”(English Translation)
Mr.Tyagi, another user wrote: “This girl studying in the 9th grade has also joined the cockroach protest at Jantar Mantar. She says they have come here to protest against the war between Israel and America.”
Fact Check:
During its investigation, the DFRAC team found that the viral video is not from a demonstration by the Cockroach Janata Party. Instead, it is from a protest held in March regarding the Iran-Israel war. To investigate the claim, our team converted the video into keyframes and conducted a reverse-image search using Google Lens.
We found this video posted on March 6, 2026, in the shorts section of a YouTube channel named Political Adda. The title of this video reads, What did the young girl say during the protest against the Iran & Israel War | Iran Protest | Political Adda | CPIM |. The fact that this video was uploaded on March 6 makes it clear that it is not from today’s protest.
We also found the same video posted on Political Adda’s Facebook page.
For further verification, our team contacted Asif Rahman, a journalist with the YouTube channel ‘Awaz Nation’, who was covering the protest. Asif stated that he had been covering the protest at Jantar Mantar from the very beginning and did not witness any such incident. He further said that no protesters at the event were carrying posters or placards related to the Iran-Israel war.
Conclusion:
The fact check makes it clear that the viral video circulating on social media is not from a protest organized by the Cockroach Janata Party. The video is from a protest related to the Iran-Israel war held in March and was uploaded on March 6, 2026, on the YouTube channel Political Adda. Therefore, the claim being shared by users is misleading.
