A video of Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal AP Singh is being circulated by Pakistan-based accounts claiming that “The Indian Air Chief has confirmed that Lieutenant Shivangi Singh is still missing.” The posts further allege that he is “being forced to hide the truth by RSS and BJP.”

A frequent Fake news peddler account named The Whistle Blower has shared the video, which has been fond of sharing similar digitally altered videos as well.

Upon investigation, we found the claim to be False. Our investigation found that the viral video is digitally altered. The original footage was traced to the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, uploaded on October 8. In the original video, released on the occasion of the 93rd Indian Air Force Day, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh extends greetings to Air Warriors and citizens, highlighting the IAF’s decisive role in national security. Nowhere does he mention the claim seen in the viral version.

Additionally, during the Valedictory Ceremony held on October 10, 2025, Squadron Leader Shivangi Singh received the Qualified Flying Instructor (QFI) badge, becoming the first woman fighter pilot in India to achieve this distinction.
