A video showing an artificial waterfall is making rounds on social media platform X(formerly Twitter). Users are sharing this video and claiming that the video is from China. One user shared this video and wrote: “Artificial waterfall experience, China”
The video has received around 23 million views on X.
Another user also shared this video and made a similar claim. The preview link can be seen here.
Fact-Check
To verify the authenticity of the viral video, the DFRAC team converted this video into some keyframes and reverse-searched them on Google. We found similar videos of the waterfall on the website of Virtual Expo Dubai.
Moreover, a similar video was available on YouTube showing the same waterfall, with the caption: “Dubai Expo 2020 Main Interesting Fountain”
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral video showing the artificial waterfall is from Dubai, not from China.
