On social media, a news in regard of Elon Musk arrests has gone viral. While sharing the news user claim that “BREAKING: The United Kingdom is thinking about arresting Elon Musk for social media posts.”
Moreover, several users shared this video and made similar claims. The link can be seen here, here and here
Fact Check
During the investigation, DFRAC found that the claim was false. We did not find any such official news in mainstream media reporting such facts. Furthermore, we examined the handles of UK Prime Minister and Gov.UK, but no such tweet or update had been found in this regard.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC fact check that the news claiming about UK Government arresting Elon Musk for his social media posts is false. No official announcements are made in this regard by UK Government .
