Digitally altered Video of US President Biden goes viral. Read the reality here

An X user, Donald J Trump news, recently shared a video of Joe Biden in which the kid is seen to be passing an object to Biden. The caption read, “What do you notice in this video of Joe Biden?”

Many social media users, upon watching the video, claimed that the object passed to Biden was a vial of blood. We found similar claims made by another users.

Fact-check:

To determine the authenticity of this video, DFRAC team reverse-searched the image on Google. In the process, we discovered that it is an old video and has been digitally altered.

It is a video from Biden’s trip to Kentucky. We found the original video on Facebook in the live streaming by Fox 19.

In the video we could see the original clip at timestamp 12:38, confirming that the child didn’t hand over anything to Biden; instead, Biden did.

This footage clearly shows that the viral video is reversed and digitally altered. Also, the object appears to pass through one of the child’s fingers confirming that the video has been altered.

Conclusion:

Hence, it is clear that the video used is old and digitally altered.Thus the claim shared is misleading.
