An X user named Wajid Khan shared the video on X and wrote, “After ‘ZARA’ made an insulting advertisement about the Gaza war, the American people threw all the clothes of ZARA brand in front of the company. The clothing brand ZARA is being boycotted in many countries around the world due to advertising pictures mocking the genocide in Gaza. It should be boycotted in India also”.

To know the truth behind the viral video, DFRAC team converted the video into some keyframes and reverse-searched it on Google. We found that this video was uploaded on TikTok by Vestiaire Collective stating, “With 92 million tons of textiles sent to landfill every year, now’s the time to act. That’s why from today, we’re banning another 30 fashion brands from Vestiaire Collective, including Zara, H&M,Gap, Abercrombie &Fitch, Mango, Urban Outfitters, and Uniqlo”
Moreover, we also found some news articles from Fashion Untitled and Just Style stating that Vesitiare Collective banned 30 fashion brands from its platform.

Thus, it is clear from the DFRAC fact-check that the claim made by the users that American people threw all Zara clothes in front of the company after they made an insulting advertisement about the Gaza war is misleading as this video was made by Vestiaire Collective to show that they banned 30 fashion brands.
