Amid the First Republican primary debate of the US elections 2024, an image is going viral on social media platforms showing Former US president Donald Trump relishing Barbeque with some black African Americans in the hoods. Social media users are fiercely sharing this image and claiming that Trump will win African Americans’ vote this time.
According to the latest updates, the former US President has not participated in the recent Republican primary debate of the US election in 2024 but the recent polls have shown that he is the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination.
An account named Trump History posted an image on Twitter with the caption: “Donald Trump mans the grill at a cookout with his supporters – June 19th, 2019”.
Sharing this image online, a user named Dom Lucre, Breaker of Narratives wrote: “Why is Obama never in the hood?”
In addition to that, another user by the name of HaleyFan re-quoted this picture and wrote: “Trump will win the African American vote in 2024”
Fact-Check
To verify the authenticity of the viral image, the Dfrac team examined this image minutely, we found some issues with the details in this image. The hands of the persons in the above viral picture had some alignment difficulties.
Moreover, the team uploaded this picture to an AI image detection tool. According to this tool, the viral image is AI-generated.
Subsequently, the team reverse-searched this image on Google but didn’t find it on Trump’s official handle as well as on other news websites.
Conclusion
It is clear from Dfrac’s Fact-check that the viral image of the Former US President, Trump is completely Fake as it is AI-generated. Therefore, the claim of social media users is false.
