Fact check:  BJP MP Ravi Kishan shares a picture of Pakistani and Chinese soldiers as Indian soldiers

On December 9, there was a clash between the soldiers of India and China in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The clash took place when Chinese troops were trying to infiltrate. After this clash, many misleading videos and pictures have started being shared on social media. Meanwhile, BJP’s Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan has posted a picture. 

Ravi Kishan posted this picture and captioned it: “Reports of the beating of Chinese troops are coming from Arunachal Pradesh. Jai Hind Ki Sena”  Here is the archive link to Ravi Kishan’s post.

Fact Check:

When the DFRAC team did a reverse search to fact-check the picture posted by Ravi Kishan, we found a blog from Pakistan MILITARY REVIEW. That picture has been published in this blog. According to the information given in this blog, the Pakistan-China joint military exercise YOUYI-IV started near Jhelum on Monday.

At the same time, we found a report published on https://mavink.com with a viral picture. According to this report- “There has been a joint military exercise between Pakistan and China Army. The exercise is the fourth in the series in which special forces from both sides will participate, an official statement said. Exercise YOUYI-IV is a brigade-level joint exercise between the two armies. ”

Conclusion:

It is clear from the fact check of DFRAC that the picture posted by BJP MP Ravi Kishan is not of Indian Army personnel in Tawang, but this picture is of a military exercise between Pakistan and Chinese soldiers in 2011.
