Indian and Chinese troops clashed in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang sector on December 9. Some soldiers from both countries suffered minor injuries in this clash. Social media users are sharing a video, in which it can be seen that there is a clash between the soldiers of the army of the two countries. A user shared this video and captioned it- “Full video. The clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh”

At the same time, another video is getting viral on social media. In this video, it can be seen that the soldiers of India and China are standing face to face. While sharing this video, a user captioned- “After all! Why was this news suppressed? The clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Tawang sector on the India-China border, reports of injuries to more than 30 soldiers. The incident is on 9 December. Which is suppressed by some news agencies, it is very worrying. LAC has never been disputed in this area. #IndiaChina”

The DFRAC team first converted the video into a few frames, then reverse-searched those frames. We found a video uploaded on YouTube on 31 May 2020. The video has been titled – “Indian Army beating Chinese PLA Army”.

Conclusion:
Fact checks of both videos by the DFRAC team make it clear that the viral video is an old video of a clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers, which is being shared as a recent incident. Therefore, the claim of social media users is wrong and misleading.
