India is a diverse country with all the major religions of the world. There are close to 1600 languages spoken in India. Apart from these, India has different ethnic groups due to migration from around the world. India’s rich culture is the main reason why many foreign powers keep an eye on the country and social media have made this task easier for foreign forces.
Through social media more voices are now being heard which is the reason most Islamic countries of the world who are concerned about the Muslim minorities and their rights in India raise their respective voices on different issues.
But the concerning part about all of this is that most of the time the weapon of the internet is used to spread fake and misleading news about India and how the country treats its minorities and uses it to propagate a fake agenda against India. Many a times many Muslim populated countries of the world become active on social media and start a info war against Indians and its democratic laws.
A similar scenario occurred on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Prophet Mohammad. This day celebrates the great prophet and founder of Islam, who started one of the most prominent religions in the world. This day is celebrated with lots of zeal in all the Islamic nations of the world including India where the Islamic religion is having the second largest population after Hinduism. But, certain people took this as an opportunity to malign the image of India on an international level by stating that India did not allow its country people especially Kashmiri Muslims to celebrate the birth anniversary of the prophet.
@Abdulla_Alamadi is a verified Twitter account and according to his Twitter bio, he is a writer and a columnist. Scrolling through his page we found many posts on India and how it treats its minorities.
He also posted a screenshot of PM Narendra Modi wishing his country people on the occasion of birthday of prophet Mohammad while criticizing the Indian Government. He tweeted,
“At a time when the Prime Minister of India congratulates Muslims on the Prophet’s birthday, and hopes that it will be an occasion to promote peace and love in the Indian society, the police are preventing Muslims from celebrating the Mawlid! How can this be explained?”
Another verified account Jeremy McLellan (@JeremyMcLellan) who is a member of muslim brotherhood and a comidian, with the following of 195 k tweeted accusing India for not letting people of Kashmir celebrate their festivals in peace. He writes, “Whether you’re starting today or tomorrow, I want to wish a very blessed Ramadan to all the Muslims around the world, especially those in Palestine, Syria, Kashmir, India, Yemen, Myanmar, and everywhere else where people may not be able to celebrate in peace.”
A verified account by the name of Duaa زهراء(@DuaaZahra) who according to her twitter bio is a political junkie, with a following of approximately 1k tweets, “Thinking of incarcerated Muslims, Uighur Muslims, Rohingya Muslims, Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir, and the Muslims who do not have the privilege to celebrate Ramadan safely and freely May this month bring them blessings and safety, and may they be able to celebrate freely soon.”

Pakistani users are also not leaving any stone unturned to question India on being the secular country. They too are accusing India for not letting Muslims celebrate the birthday of the Prophet in Kashmir where Muslims are in surplus.
Above are some of the examples how people around the Muslim countries tries to set a wrong narrative on India, especially in the name of Kashmir. But in this DFRAC Exclusive we will now reveal the real India despite of any agenda and propaganda and only love for all the religions it holds in itself as a country.
