An image is getting viral on social media where netizens are questioning Byju’s (an Indian Ed-Tech Company) about the incorrect map of India distributed by the company.
This map of India is getting viral with the Byju’s logo on it. In the map one part of the UT Jammu and Kashmir is referred to as Azad Kashmir.
Sharing the image a user on Twitter writes, “Hey @BYJUS, are you guys drunk or need some outrage to correct this?”
Another user on social media writes, “Dear @BYJUS, is this true?
Fact Check:
To clarify the claim, DFRAC team found the official statement released by the Byju’s itself on their Official Twitter account. Where the company has clarified and denied any such map created or distributed by them.
Further, DFRAC team too tried to investigate on the issue and found the logo used in the viral image and the logo of Byju’s is different.
On the viral image there is an underline under the logo, but Byju’s do not use the underline instead there is a subtitle stating, “The Learning App” or nothing written at all.
Conclusion:
With Byju’s coming forth and denied the claim and through our Investigation it is clear that the viral image is not created or distributed by Byju’s.
