Fact check: Jagdeep Dhankhar became the 14th vice president of India not the 16th

One of the leading national newspaper of the country published a false news about Jagdeep Dhankhar victory in the presidential election. The article wrote that ”Jagdeep Dhankhar became the 16th vice president, defeating Margate Alwa by 346 votes.”

Former west Bengal minister “Jagdeep Dhankhar has became the 16th vice president of India.” The election commission has announced this .He defeated the opposition Margate Alwa by 346 votes.

The DFRAC visited the official website of vice president’s office to verify the claim of article. Where information received from the section of the former vice president revealed that 13 vice president were elected before Jagdeep Dhankhar. In which current president Venkaiah Naidu is also included.

CONCLUSION:

Therefore, the article’s claim of Jagdeep Dhankhar became the 16th vice president is fake. As he became the 14th vice president.
