A video in which a man suggesting to kill a woman’s son to prevent carbon emissions is going viral on the internet. Sharing the video social media users are claiming that it is a commercial done by World economic. Further, sharing the video Heidi McDonald wrote, “WOW! How’s this for disgusting? This video is so disturbing and UNNECESSARY that you would not believe it’s an actual commercial done by the WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM. Check out the credits at the end. Pass this on to every single person you know!””

Similarly, Nastasia Grace wrote, “This video is so disturbing and UNNECESSARY that you would not believe it’s an actual commercial done by the WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM… smh..This is the video I shared on my YouTube channel.”

Similarly, many users have shared this video criticizing WEF for endorsing this commercial.

Fact Check

Firstly, in our analysis we searched the official site and YouTube channel of WEF. But, we didn’t find any such video there. Then, by keyword searching we found that the viral video is a clip from season two, episode six of the British TV series UTOPIA. Moreover, we also found the same video on the Youtube channel named Augusto Jacquier. The channel uploaded the video on 15th August, 2024 with the title, “Utopia – Season 2, Episode 6 – Opening scene.”
