A news report from Russia Today is getting viral on various social media platforms. The video is claiming that the new Islamic party in Belgium is planning to form an Islamic state.

In the video, the anchor talks to the MP of Belgium asking about his views on the entire matter.

Fact Check:

We at DFRAC reverse searched the image using certain keywords and found that the incident did take place, but not recently. The video is actually a decade old. It is from the year 2012.

We find similar videos on many youtube channels.

We also find that many reports on the same issue a report state, “Belgium: Two Newly Elected Muslim Politicians in Brussels Vow to Implement Sharia.”
