FAKE 2(12)

A screenshot of Pete Buttigieg, U.S Transportation Secretary getting viral on social media sites.
It is claimed that @PeteButtigieg posted a tweet from his official Twitter handle that reads, “Time for “therapy”!!!”

https://twitter.com/ChillStableGuy/status/1512418979276636161?s=20&t=-N3MwhgzFpp-PibuZuGlZw

He is wearing military gear and holding a gun while standing in front of dogs.

Many Facebook users are too posting this image under the caption, “This is so unnecessarily ominous Why did

he post this!?

Fact Check:

When we searched the word therapy for a keyword search, we found no such post on his official Twitter handle.

Instead, we found a post like this.

Make no mistake—a federal Equality Act is still urgently needed. The struggle for equality did not end with marriage, nor did it end today. Conversion therapy persists. Black trans women are at grave risk daily. The administration is rolling back protections at every turn.

— Pete Buttigieg (@PeteButtigieg) June 15, 2020

We too found the picture of dogs on Facebook with no Buttigieg in the picture.

Conclusion:

The picture of Pete Buttigieg was digitally altered.

Claim review: @PeteButtigieg posted a tweet from his official Twitter handle that reads, “Time for “therapy”!!!”

Claimed by: Social media users.

Fact Check: No, Pakistan’s J-10C Did Not Shoot Down an Indian Rafale Over the LoC Dramatic silhouette of a Chinese-made J-10C fighter jet in mid-flight against a vivid sunset sky, with its afterburner trail illuminated in the twilight. The image was featured in a viral social media post by a Pakistani defense account, falsely claiming that the aircraft had successfully shot down an Indian Rafale jet during an aerial encounter over the Line of Control (LoC). The claim was later fact-checked and debunked by Indian authorities as misinformation.
