A picture of the Russian Army choir is going massively viral on the internet. Sharing the picture users claim that they got arrested for singing about peace following the Ukraine crisis. Further, @FuZhenChuan wrote in the caption, “During the performance of the Russian army choir in St. Petersburg, Russian state security arrested them for singing a song about “peace”. ·

In the same vein, many users have shared this picture with a similar claim.

Fact Check

On reverse image search, we found a report of Belfast telegraph of the year 2015. The report was on the Russian Army choristers performing on their version of the James Bond “Spectre” theme, it seems – and “abducted” them mid-song.

Conclusion

Hence, the picture is old and not related to the current situation between Russia and Ukraine. Ane, users are sharing it with the wrong claim that they got arrested for singing a song about “peace”
