FactCheck: Reality Of The Picture Of The Woman Holding A Rifle On A Bus

A photo of a girl holding a gun is going viral on the internet. The woman is holding a rifle on a bus. Further, along with the picture, @terror_alarm wrote,  Life in #Ukraine, “Life in #Ukraine, now.”

Likewise, @Abbakar1030 wrote, “IMAGE recently taken of a girl on a bus in Ukraine. With well-manicured nails, chatting on her mobile while clutching AK47. Awaiting Russian troops was well-manicured AK47 awaiting Russian troops. ”

similarly, many other social media users shared this picture on their handles.

After doing a reverse image search we got to know that, this is an old image. Moreover, we found an archived link  in which the same picture was uploaded seven months ago.

Also, we found the same image on Reddit, it was uploaded on March 31, 2020.

Conclusion

Therefore, it is clear that users are circulating the viral image on different forums such as Reddit and meme-sharing blogs since  March 2020. And, many internet users have previously  attributed to numerous locations, such as Belarus and Russia. Hence, the claims with the viral image are fake and misleading. Also, it is not related to Ukraine.
