A picture of the news plate of INDIA TV is going viral on social media platforms. The picture contains a pic of PM Modi with “Me jato k ghar se lassi mang kar lata tha” meaning “I used to bring lassi from the jats” written on  the breaking plate.” Furthermore, I lived in Jatland for 20 years.” Meanwhile, sharing the picture users wrote in the caption which can be nearly translated into English, “He remembered the lassi when the Jats made him learn a good lesson.”

Similarly, many other social media users posted this image on their handles.

Factcheck

First of all, our team tried to find out the actual source of the viral image. Consequently, we got a video on the YouTube channel of IndiaTV. The caption of the video was, ” Prime Minister Modi said in NCC rally – the country is celebrating the elixir of freedom.”

After, watching the whole video we found nowhere the claimed remark. Further, using the Fotoforensic tool for the image viral image we got to know that this is an edited image.

Hence, from our fact check analysis it is clear that the viral picture is fake.
