The Cockroach Janata Party organized a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi over education-related issues. The Congress party also raised the issue from the streets to Parliament. Following these protests, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from the post of Union Education Minister. Meanwhile, a photo has been widely shared on social media claiming to show Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Deepke posing alongside George Soros and Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The image also features Congress leader Sam Pitroda and climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Several social media users shared the image with misleading captions. A user named Tathvam-asi posted the photo with the caption, “Tukde-Tukde Gang.”

Dilip Kumar Singh, another user, described the people in the image as “A gang of traitors.”

On Facebook, a user posted the image in another person’s comment section with the text: “I don’t think any more evidence is needed. They are all birds of the same feather. Everything they do is pre-planned. If the country has to be saved, people must stay away from them, otherwise they will destroy everything.”

Fact Check:
The DFRAC team found that the viral image is fake and was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI). After conducting a detailed analysis, AI expert Mayank Sharma also concluded that the image is digitally generated. To verify the image, we first performed a reverse image search. However, the photograph was not found in any credible media publication. Had Rahul Gandhi actually been photographed with Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun or with Abhijeet Deepke in such a setting, it would almost certainly have received extensive media coverage.
We then examined the image using multiple AI detection tools, including Hive Moderation, Sightengine, and ImageDetector. The analysis indicated a very high likelihood that the image was AI-generated. Hive Moderation assessed the image as 99.7% AI-generated, while Sightengine reported a 99% probability of AI generation. ImageDetector returned a 51% probability, also suggesting that the image was more likely AI-generated than authentic.

For a more detailed assessment, DFRAC consulted AI expert Mayank Sharma. According to Sharma, a close examination of the image reveals several indicators that question its authenticity as a real camera photograph. All the individuals are facing the camera at nearly identical angles, their facial details have remarkably uniform quality, and the overall composition appears unusually balanced—features that are more consistent with AI-generated imagery than with a genuine group photograph. Sharma also noted that the lighting appears unnatural. Every face is illuminated with almost identical brightness and color tones, whereas in a real group photo, differences in distance from the camera and the positions of individuals typically result in noticeable variations in lighting and shadows. Most importantly, he observed that the faces of all the individuals differ slightly from their real facial features, which is another strong indication that the image was generated using AI.
Conclusion:
DFRAC’s fact-check clearly establishes that the viral image claiming to show Rahul Gandhi with George Soros and Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is fake. The image was created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and does not depict a real event.
