Several Pakistan-based accounts are circulating a claim that Iran has seized a vessel in the Persian Gulf carrying 719 Indian-made drones allegedly being exported to Israel. According to these posts, the seizure was confirmed by Iranian police.
Multiple users have shared the claim, which can be viewed here and here.
Fact Check
Upon investigation, we found the claim to be misleading. A report by Tesaa World News Channel on 16 September 2025 stated that Iran had seized a ship in the Persian Gulf carrying 719 drones allegedly bound for Israel.

Another report from Tasnim News quoted the Hormozgan Police Commander as saying that a suspect had been arrested, a case had been filed for judicial proceedings, and efforts were underway to track down other individuals involved in the large-scale smuggling. However, in none of the reports was it specified that the drones were of Indian origin.

Conclusion
The viral claim that Iran seized a ship carrying 719 Indian drones en route to Israel is misleading. While Iranian authorities did confirm the seizure of a ship transporting 719 drones in the Persian Gulf, and reports noted the arrest of a suspect linked to large-scale smuggling, there is no mention in credible reports that the drones were of Indian origin.
