A video capturing an aerial view of an arch bridge in a mountainous region is making the rounds on social media, with many users claiming it depicts a section of the Delhi-Srinagar stretch of National Highway 44 (NH 44).
This video has been widely circulated online and can be viewed through several shared links.

For context, NH 44 is the longest national highway in India, spanning an impressive 3,745 kilometres. It connects Srinagar in the northern region of Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari at the southern tip of the country. Along its route, it passes through 11 Indian states: Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
Fact Check
A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video revealed that the footage is not from India. Instead, it shows the Dafaqu Bridge in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, China.
We came across a post on X (formerly Twitter) by People’s Daily (@PDChinese), dated October 22, 2024, featuring visuals identical to those in the viral clip. The caption (translated from Chinese) confirms:
“Dafaqu Bridge is located in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. The bridge is 1,427 meters long, with a main span of 410 meters and a width of 33 meters.”

Further keyword searches led us to a video shared by the handle @China_Fact on August 29, 2024, showing the same bridge. The post states that this is the Dafaqu Grand Bridge, a remarkable piece of engineering on the Renhuai-Zunyi Expressway in China.
A similar image of the bridge was also found in a media report by China Daily, published on December 21, 2022.

The Truth About NH 44
While NH 44 is the longest national highway in India, running from Srinagar to Kanyakumari and covering 11 states, the bridge in the viral video has no connection to it.
Conclusion
The claim that the viral video shows a bridge on the Delhi-Srinagar stretch of NH 44 is false. The bridge is actually the Dafaqu Bridge in Guizhou, China.
