During the investigation, #DFRAC found the claim to be fake. According to the information available on the ‘http://myneta.info‘ website, Mallikarjun Kharge’s total net worth (including both movable and immovable assets) is estimated to be over 20 crore rupees. His total liabilities, however, exceed 23 lakh rupees.Regarding movable assets, Kharge himself holds assets worth 2,82,20,806 rupees, while his wife owns movable assets worth more than 81 lakh rupees, and his dependent (Dependent 1) has assets valued at over 16 lakh rupees. Altogether, the total movable assets of Kharge, his wife, and his dependent amount to 3,79,75,654 rupees (approximately 4 crore rupees).
Furthermore, we also found a report from ‘Zee news’ published on October 19, 2022 states “Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge filed an affidavit during the 17th Lok Sabha elections in 2019, providing details about his assets. He stated that his total movable and immovable assets amounted to 15,77,22,896 rupees. He also disclosed information about his liabilities, which totaled 31,22,000 rupees. As of 2019, Mallikarjun Kharge was the owner of assets worth over 15 crore rupees. At that time, his movable assets were valued at 2,46,46,334 rupees, while his immovable assets were worth 13,30,76,563 crore rupees. This means that his movable assets were over 2 crore rupees, and his immovable assets were over 13 crore rupees.”
