Sharing this news on X(Twitter), a user by the name of Dr. Amit Manohar wrote: “Bollywood’s Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai after his health deteriorated. Angioplasty has been done”. (Translated to English)

To investigate the authenticity of the viral news, the DFRAC team searched some keywords on Google in this context and found a video recently posted on the Instagram handle of Viral Bhayani with the caption: “Good to see that big b is well and Fit and fine as he attended ISPL closing ceremony“. In this video, the actor can be seen dismissing this ill health report & calling it ‘Fake news’

Media reports from First Post, Zee News and Wion

According to a recent media report by First Post,the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan was reported to have undergone an angioplasty after his hospitalisation recently. The reports of the actor dealing with ill health left his fans worried and they flooded the social media platforms with enquiries about his condition. Now, the actor has come out refuting the claims calling them “fake news”. In a video surfaced on the Internet recently, the actor seemingly dismissed the reports.

Moreover, another media report by WION mentioned: “In the evening, Bachchan was spotted with his son Abhishek and cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane. The report further added: “Later in the evening after the match, Bachchan himself quashed all the reports of his health in the simplest way possible. A video that has gone viral on social shows Bachchan exiting from the ISPL, when a fan from the crowd asked Big B about his health. Responding to this, he said, ”Fake news.”

In this report, Zee News stated that When the paps spotted Amitabh Bachchan, everyone asked the same question to the actor. When media persons asked Amitabh Bachchan about his health, Big B said, ‘I am fine. This is all fake news. After this, he leaves the event smiling. Fans became happy after seeing this video surfaced on social media. Everyone was worried about the megastar.
