A reverse image search of the viral screenshot led us to the original article published by the Canadian media outlet, Toronto Sun on December 15, 2023. The headline of the news article reads: “Massive statue of Hindu god being built in Brampton”. A collage provided below will show the difference.
Furthermore, according to news published by news website Indian Express , a towering 55-foot Hanuman statue, the tallest representation of a Hindu deity in Canada, is scheduled for unveiling in April next year. Crafted by sculptor Naresh Kumawat from Rajasthan and funded by the local temple management, the statue will be formally unveiled at the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton, Canada, on April 23, coinciding with the Hanuman Jayanti, the deity’s birth anniversary.
