A screenshot of Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan Anwaar ul Haq has gone viral. The screenshot has been shared by multiple users claiming it to be from his official account where he is sharing the news about the death of Dawood Ibrahim.

We fact-checked the viral screenshot. On close inspection, we found that the user name in the viral screenshot doesn’t match the official account of Anwaar ul Haq.
The official account’s username reads as @anwaar_kakar whereas the username of the account in the viral screenshot reads as @anwaar_kakkar (an extra ‘k’ can be observed here).
Furthermore, on checking the official Twitter handle of Anwaar ul Haq we didn’t find
any such tweet on his timeline, as his last tweet was dated 16 December 2023.
Also, the verified symbol present in the viral screenshot is fake.
Conclusion
Hence, from the fact check it becomes evident that the viral screenshot is fake. It has not been posted from Anwar Ul Haq’s Official account and seems to have a different username from the official account.
