A picture of a car is going viral on social media. In this picture, the word “RAM” can be seen written on the car. People are sharing it and claiming that an American company has named their new car “Ram” after being influenced by Lord Rama.
Rastravadi Hindu Mahasabha chief, Vivek Pandey (@INDVivekPandey_) shared a tweet along with the picture of the car saying,”An American company launched a car in the name of Shri Ram. Sanatan is the soul of the world. Jai Shree Ram” (translated into English)
After his tweet, many users also shared the image with same claim shared by Vivek Pandey. Below find the screenshots of multiple tweets shared.
Fact Check:
Our team conducted the keyword search. It was found that wikipedia covers the details about the company RAM,where it says ,”The Ram pickup (marketed as the Dodge Ram until 2010) is a full-size pickup truck manufactured by Stellantis North America and marketed from 2010 onwards under the Ram Trucks brand.”
We also went through the website of RAM trucks. There was no mention of any association of Lord Rama with name of the company or any of their vehicles.
Conclusion:
From the fact, it becomes evident that the viral claim about RAM’s car association with Lord Rama is false. There is no official statement about such claims on the company’s website as well.
