Waqf Board claims the Islamic flag was hoisted at Chandi Mata temple in Chhattisgarh. Read- Fact Check

The photo of a temple is becoming fiercely viral on social media. In this photo, there is a green flag inside the temple, on which 786 is written. Social media users are calling it an Islamic flag. Users who shared this photo are claiming that the Chandi Mata temple in Gunderdehi, Chhattisgarh has an Islamic flag. On the temple, the Waqf Board has claimed that this property belongs to them. 

By sharing this picture social media users captions: “ Maa Chandi Devi Temple, Gunderdehi Chhattisgarh. The Waqf Board claimed that this is their property, and why shouldn’t the country’s secularism give them this permission, the burden of which is being carried by the Hindus? The result of the tolerance of the Hindus is that today they have to see these days and they will continue to do so. to be continued.”

Fact Check:

To find out the truth of the viral photo and the claim, the DFRAC team searched some keywords on Google. We got a report from ETV India. “The temple is an example of unity and integrity. Here both Hindus and Muslims worship together. The sheets of Muslims also come out of this temple. On this temple where Chandi Maiya is worshiped on one side. On the other hand, the green flag of Syed Baba’s holy 786 is also hoisted. Here all religions worship together.

In this report, the statement of the temple’s founder member and former MLA Rajendra Kumar Rai has been printed. According to Rajendra Kumar Rai, “There has been no situation of Hindu-Muslim conflict here so far. Everyone worships here together. 

At the same time, many other media reports have also been told that the temple is a living example of Hindu-Muslim unity. Here people of both religions worship according to their respective religious beliefs with mutual harmony.

Conclusion:

Media reports and DFRAC fact checks make it clear that the claim going viral is false. Chandi Mata Temple is an example of Hindu-Muslim unity. There is no dispute here.
