Fact check: Old video of Narendra Modi over EVM got viral with fake claims

A video by PM Narendra Modi is going viral on the internet about Electronic Voting machines. Bains Singh posted a short clipping of 30 seconds and in the video, PM is saying how Americans read the name before giving votes. Users are claiming that the viral statement was made before he became the Prime Minister of India.

   Fact check      

After doing the reverse image search, we found that the video was taken from the live streaming of the PMs Rally in New Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh.  The video was posted on the official YouTube channel of Narendra Modi.

The video was released in 2016 after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India. Therefore, the claim is misleading.
