Fact Check: Viral Video Featuring Mukesh Ambani, Virat Kohli, and Others Promoting a Betting App is Misleading

A video is going viral on social media, featuring prominent personalities such as Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, Virat Kohli, and Hrithik Roshan. They are allegedly promoting an betting app called “Aviator,” which claims to help users invest and make money.
A similar video is also circulating on YouTube, featuring the same personalities promoting the betting app The Aviator
Fact Check
To investigate the viral video, the DFRAC conducted a reverse image search of the keyframes. The keyframe video featuring Mukesh Ambani led us to a video that is a year old. This video is from Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, where Mukesh Ambani is giving his speech. This video was uploaded on Narendra Modi’s YouTube Channel on 10 January 2024.
Similarly, the keyframe featuring Anant Ambani led us to a video from a year ago. In this video, Anant Ambani is talking about the launch of his project, Vantara. This video was uploaded on 26 February 2024 on the Kanak News YouTube channel. Vantara is an ambitious project envisioned by Anant Ambani. Its main cause is to rescue, treat, care, and rehabilitate animals in need. For his endeavour, a vast space is transformed into a green jungle, and animal care experts are working in tandem for the well-being of the rescued animals here.
Additionally, we did the same with the keyframes featuring Virat Kohli and Hrithik Roshan. It led to us to a two-year-old video on YouTube, it’s a podcast featuring Virat Kohli. This podcast is uploaded on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru YouTube channel, uploaded on 25 February 2023. In this video, Kohli talks of his captaincy, the 2014 and 2018 England tours, ICC trophy, and this chat has touched a lot of cricketing anecdotes.
Similarly, reverse search led us to a year-old video, which is an interview featuring Hrithik Roshan with Anupama Chopra on Film Companion Studios’ channel. This video was originally uploaded on 29 January 2024. In this interview, Hrithik Roshan talks about his film, Fighter and this interview touches many facets of his acting career.
Conclusion
There, DFRAC’s fact check clearly shows that the viral video is misleading. The video has carefully taken visuals of Mukesh Ambani from Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Anant Ambani’s interview on Vantara, Virat Kohli’s Podcast, and Hrithik Roshan’s interview with Anupama Chopra.
The viral video features a manipulated audio imposed on the personalities featured in it.
