Some pak-based handles took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and claimed that Indian Forces martyr two Kashmiri youths amid renewed tensions in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir.
An account with the name Sharp Media Network posted an image and wrote: “Indian Forces Martyr Two Kashmiri Youth Amid Renewed Tensions in Baramulla The situation in the region remains volatile, with frequent military actions sparking renewed calls from various human rights organizations for de-escalation and dialogue”

Fact-check
In the probe, the DFRAC team found that two terrorists had been killed in an overnight encounter in the Sopore area of Baramulla. A google keyword search in this regard led us to a tweet by Kashmir Zone Police. The tweet informed that Two terrorists had been neutralised in the Sopore encounter. Identification & affiliation were being ascertained. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition recovered.
Furthermore, we found multiple media outlets such as The Hindu, The Times of India and The Economic Times, reporting this news and stating similar facts as mentioned in the above Kashmir Zone Police’s tweet.
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s fact-check that the viral claim stating that Indian Forces martyr two Kashmiri youths is misleading. In reality, 2 terrorists have been killed in the Sopore area of Baramulla
