On October, 23, 2024, Turkey has witnessed a deadly terror attack in an aerospace company near the capital Ankara. Nearly five people were killed and 22 injured in this terrorist attack.
In contrast, Turkey launched strikes on Kurdish militants in northern Iraq and Syria that killed at least 12 civilians, including two children, after blaming the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) for an attack on a defence company in Ankara
A pak-based handle took to social media platform X(formerly Twitter) and claimed that Turkish authorities had arrested three Indian nationals on suspicion of assisting the terrorists in the in the recent attack occured in Turkish Aerospace Industries near the capital, Ankara.
Psywar Bureau posted a collage on X and wrote: “Terrorist Attack at TUSAS Aviation and Space Base in Ankara-Indian Nationals arrested”
Fact-check
The DFRAC team investigated the above claim by searching some keywords on Google in this regard and found that no reports had been published supporting the above claim.
Instead, we discovered latest reports from several media outlets citing that Tukish govt. suspected militants from Kurdistan Workers Party behind this deadly attack and its military launched fresh air strikes on Kurdistan sites in northern Syria and Iraq overnight, killing 59 militants, in response to a gun attack that killed five people in Ankara.
Conclusion
It is evident from DFRAC’s Factcheck that the claim shared by Pak-based handle asserting that 3 Indian nationals have been arrested in Ankara attack is completely false since no such news has been reported in this regard.
