Multiple videos from Gaza explosion falsely linked with Israel-Lebanon conflict. Here’s the truth

On social media, a video of some explosion scenes has gone viral. While sharing the video users claim that “Israel’s fierce attack on Lebanon is being devastated and it has been announced that Israeli army will enter Lebanon and a thorough search operation will be carried out Remember, Israel is fighting these Jihadis not only for itself but for the whole world”.

Moreover, other users also shared this video and made similar claims. The link can be viewed here, here & here.

Fact Check

During the investigation, DFRAC found that the video was made combining multiple videos. We found that the merged videos were from Gaza. We discovered a video similar to the first video, on X handle of ahaber uploaded on 19 August 2024 with caption “The moment when the occupying Israeli army attacked a house in Nusayrat Camp was captured on video”.

Furthermore, we also found the second part of video on X handle of ‘Eye on Palestine’ uploaded on 17 August 2024 with the caption “Israeli warplanes bomb a residential building in the Nusairat refugee camp, central Gaza Strip”.

Moreover, we found the third part of the video on the X handle of ‘Eye on Palestine’ uploaded on 27 July 2024 with the caption “The moment of the bombing of a school in Deir Al Balah, central Gaza”.

Conclusion

It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the viral video is from Gaza and made by combining multiple videos, not from the Israel-Lebanon conflict. Therefore, the claim of social media users is misleading.

Fact Check: No, Pakistan’s J-10C Did Not Shoot Down an Indian Rafale Over the LoC Dramatic silhouette of a Chinese-made J-10C fighter jet in mid-flight against a vivid sunset sky, with its afterburner trail illuminated in the twilight. The image was featured in a viral social media post by a Pakistani defense account, falsely claiming that the aircraft had successfully shot down an Indian Rafale jet during an aerial encounter over the Line of Control (LoC). The claim was later fact-checked and debunked by Indian authorities as misinformation.
