Fact Check

Upon investigation by DFRAC, it was found Tiktok video, and media report by Newsweek,  and  Reuters which revealed that the video was initially posted on TikTok by a user named bigchoppadoe in the year 2020. The clip features a man in a high-visibility jacket pretending to be a poll worker. He jokingly says, “If some of these votes happen to say, like this one, Donald J Dumb Trump, that one just don’t make it,” before tearing up a piece of paper that he claims is a ballot. The video was later shared across other social media platforms, leading to the false impression that it depicted a real incident.

However, the video was intended as a joke. Dale Harrison, the man in the video and the person behind the TikTok account, clarified on Facebook that he created the video in a humorous context, wearing his Amazon work outfit. Before his TikTok account was set to private, Reuters confirmed that the videos on his page matched those on his Facebook account, where he explained it was all for laughs.

Conclusion

It is clear from DFRAC’s fact check that the claim that the video shows a poll worker destroying a ballot for President Trump is false. The video was created as a joke in the year 2020 and does not depict any recent event involving an election worker or ballot tampering.
