Fact-check
To verify the authenticity of the above viral video, the DFRAC team converted it into some keyframes and reverse-searched them on google. We found that found that the video was from Mar 2018. The video was available on the YouTube channel of Abplive with the caption: “Chandrababu Naidu separated from NDA, both TDP ministers at the center will resign today”. The video was posted on Mar 7, 2018.
Additionally, News 18 India and Abplive also published this news in Mar 2018. As per news articles, Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which is adamant on the demand of giving special status to Andhra Pradesh, has decided to separate from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). According to the information, cabinet ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju and YS Chowdhary from TDP in the Modi government would resign.
