Social media users are sharing a claim about the Indian Goverment banning the Visas of Bangladeshi Student leaders. Bangladeshi media Mirror Asia reported, “The Ministry of External Affairs of India has blacklisted six Bangladeshi student leaders and their close relatives for visa denial, accusing them of inciting anti-India mobs and being involved in activities against India’s national interest.”
Additionally, social media users picked up the news and have widely shared the similar claim. Users wrote, ” The Indian government has imposed a visa ban on six student leaders from Bangladesh.” Multiple users were found sharing the similar claims which you view here and here.

DFRAC Team investigated the viral claim. During the process we found the claim is Fake. According to media reports by India Today and Deccan Herald, Indian official sources from the capital, New Delhi have confirmed it as Fake News. Media reports mentioned, ” Reports claiming that India has imposed a visa ban on six Bangladeshi student leaders are fake. Sources in the External Affairs Ministry said, no such ban has been imposed by India. “
Furthermore, another report by Akashvani Samachar had mentioned, ” Reports claiming that India has imposed a visa ban on six Bangladeshi student leaders are fake. Sources in the External Affairs Ministry said, no such ban has been imposed by India. “

Heceforth, from the fact check it is clear that the viral claim of Indian Government imposing a visa ban on six student leaders from Bangladesh is Fake.
