An image has recently surfaced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with claim that “a 24 year old Muslim girl Humarah from Baramulla converted to Hinduism and married with Hindu boy Sagar Pradeep Singh Parihar of Navi Mumbai”. The image has been shared by some Pak handles on X.

An account with the username @khardaar00 shared this image and wrote: “#Viral News : 24 Year’s Muslim girl Humarah From Baramulla converted to Hinduism And married with Hindu boy Sagar Pradeep Singh Parihar of Navi Mumbai”

To begin with our fact-check process, the DFRAC team reverse-searched this image using Google lens that led us to an Abp ‘s report published in 2021 carrying the same image. According to this report, the image was from Bihar and depicted the marriage of Gautam Kumar, a resident of Uchakaganw in Bhagalpur district who peddled 24 km to tie the nupital knot without celebrations amid covid crisis as his marriage was postponed twice.
