On social media, a Pak-based handle shares an image showing a Muslim man putting a stone on a railway track with the title “Good job Indian Muslim”. The image has been shared after the recent Train accident that took place in Jharkhand.
Fact Check
On investigation, DFRAC found many media reports regarding the Train accident in Jharkhand. According to the Hindustan Times, “Railway officials said the incident took place after a goods train derailed and collided with the Howrah-Mumbai Mail passing by from the opposite side. All injured passengers were rushed to Tata Main Hospital in Jamshedpur”.
Furthermore, we also found a report from the Economics Times stating “At least two people died and 20 were injured when 18 coaches of the Howrah-Mumbai Mail derailed near Rajkharsawan station in Jharkhand after colliding with a goods train”.
Moreover, we examined this image using AI image detectors, such as “AI or not & Is it AI”. Both detectors confirmed it as AI-generated.
Conclusion
It is evident from the DFRAC’s fact check that the train accident happened not because of Indian Muslims but because a goods train derailed and collided with the Howrah-Mumbai Mail passing by from the opposite side. Therefore, the claim of social media users is false.
