On social media, a screenshot of the tweet shared by French president Emanuel Macron has gone viral. The image attached to tweet highlights the controversial scenes from the opening ceremony of the 33rd Olympiad in Paris, France where the organizers had drag queens re-enact one of the most sacred ceremonies in the Christian faith, the Last Super.

We investigated the viral tweet. On close inspection, we found that the tweet shared by Emmanuel Macron had no image attached to it rather only the caption “This is France!” was shared. In addition to this, we used Wayback Machine to inspect the archived version of this tweet but didn’t find any images attached to the original tweet.
Conclusion:
Thus, from the Fact Check, it is clear, that the screenshot of the tweet is digitally altered. Emmanuel Macron didn’t attach this picture to his tweet.
